Unity Game Developer (Hybrid - Mid-Level)
Note: This is a full-time role. Candidates must be eligible to work in the Netherlands and available to work from our The Hague office at least three days per week.

Responsibilities
You catch us at an exciting time! We're deep in the iterative prototyping process for our next titles. As one of our key developers you'll become an integral part of our development team, helping to come up with wholly new game ideas and bringing those ideas to market testable prototypes, on a monthly schedule.
What you'll actually be doing:
Designing and building playable prototypes from scratch in Unity. Fast, focused, and fun-first.
Turning loose ideas into concrete mechanics, and ruthlessly killing the ones that don't work.
Owning gameplay systems end to end: design, implementation, iteration, polish.
Optimising for mobile hardware so our games run smooth on the devices real players own.
Working shoulder to shoulder with other developers and artists on the fun, not just the tickets.
Taking prototypes through market testing all the way to scaling the winners to millions of players all over the world.
Helping us improve and refine our development process for what works best for you!
Must haves
First and foremost - A deep seated passion and curiosity for games!
Advanced Unity knowledge with proven experience in at least one successfully scaled mobile game release.
Extremely strong C# skills - You think about architecture, allocations, GC pressure, and when composition beats inheritance.
Wired about game design, game feel, what makes games fun, and a keen eye for when and where attention to detail matters.
Working knowledge of 2D/3D geometry and physics for games.
Able to self-learn new skills and keep up to date with the newest technologies.
Strong focus on performance and output with effective time management skills.
You must like to solve problems, and thrive when doing so.
A clear communicator who can pitch an idea, take feedback, and work closely with designers and artists.
Fluent in English.
Able to commute to our office in The Hague three days a week.
Nice to haves
Technical artistry skills; you know your way around a vertex shader or two.
Animation skills; you know how to make a sphere look interesting in an empty room.
Experience with live-ops, A/B testing, or working with external publishers on market testing.
A shipped personal project, game jam entry, or prototypes you can show us and talk about.
Comfort with profiling and optimisation tools (Unity Profiler, Frame Debugger, RenderDoc)
Backend or multiplayer experience (Photon, Mirror, or similar)
Experience with HTML5 Games, as we sometimes publish our games on web.
